The youth have began to go deeper into the world of podcasting. They will be completing the “I Grew Up In Laurelton” podcast by the end of the week .They are excited to be interviewing Coach Lo about his experience growing up in the neighborhood of Laurelton .They are also excited about their work being published on the laurenton.nyc website. During this time they are mastering the skills of digital media as well as public speaking skills .
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
