The STEAM for Social Change Program had a great time learning about the diverse holidays of the season and participating in STEAM based activities at our program at Macon Library. Students learned about the history of the seasons holidays including Christmas, Kwanzaa and Chanukah. All of the STEAM Exposure stations were “holiday” themed and youth participated in maker based activities for the season of giving.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
