Young Brooklynites plan ahead by creating vision boards. Using many unique materials; cardboard, magazines, broken CDs, fabric, and ink; the students created story images of how they would envision their future to look like. Ideas such as being an engineer, chef, famous ballerina, and teacher were displayed along with affirmations such as smart, educated, wealthy, and successful. Check out their works of art below!
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
