Using Digital Media to tell our point of view.
This Digital Media project focused on school uniforms, and whether they are necessary or not. Participants expressed how they feel while wearing their school uniforms, ways their school uniforms can be improved or just completely redesigned.
The participants in this Digital Media activity sketched what their ideal school dress code would look like, and boy did they have a blast with this! We laughed, they debated, and they even made a mock up instagram story voicing their opinions on the topic at large. To make it feel realistic , the students created a hand held photo booth to really drive their points.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
