Mother’s Day Cards

    Arts and Crafts

The students in the Arts and Crafts class are continuing to build their personal portfolio.  The students have become more familiar with the color wheel. They are now able to determine the difference between primary, secondary, and tertiary colors.

The students have been working on several different Mother’s Day cards. They had a selection of diverse tracings and drawings that they were able to decorate as desired. This activity was designed to let students use their artistic skills and apply all of the techniques that we have learned thus far towards the Mother’s day cards.  I wanted them to be able to use all of the materials that I have provided for them to decorate each drawing so that they would be able to hand in their final product to their Mother or guardian on Mother’s day. Students will continue to practice their ability to trace, draw, and cut out shapes for their final Mother’s Day card.

The Arts and Crafts students have been so enthusiastic and eager to complete the Mother’s day activity. They are proud of the work that they have completed and I know that they are excited to be able to show their final product to their loved ones.
