At Trey Whitfield, the students had the wonderful opportunity to learn about Women’s History Month and the impact it has amongst women all over the world. they participated in an activity by helping me create curls for our beautiful women to be posted on our classroom bulletin as well as did coloring pages and word searches related to Women’s History. We even had students who took the opportunity to write a beautiful poem on her perspective about Women along with writing about a women figure who inspires her and why. I believe the students enjoyed this lesson on Women’s History.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
