This week we discussed current the events of the recent school shootings in Colorado in addition to the gun violence that affects everyday children. The students discussed some of the reasons they think that gun violence happens. In addition to some of the solutions to school shootings and gun violence. They also discussed and watched videos on the activism of the students in March For Our Lives and the parkland students and parents.
DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
