The students of Linden SDA Tournament are developing jersey designs for their upcoming tournament.
After receiving an outline, the students had to develop a layout, color scheme, logo and team name. Although challenging to some who could not draw or think of designs they teamed up with other students to create some innovative ideas. Using “The Ultimate Encyclopedia of BASKETBALL: The definitive illustrated guide to the NBA” as a historical reference, the students incorporated some classic components, dashed in some modern flashes of color and contemporary perspectives.
After submission the finished products will be up for vote/ review by the participants of the program. The top 12 designers (4 from each grade) will compose the design committee for this project moving forward.

DIVAS (Digital Interactive Visual Arts Sciences) for Social Justice aims to bridge the digital divide by combining media literacy and cultural awareness along with a vast understanding of technology to encourage young women in under served communities to pursue careers in computer science and new media.
