Week 1: S.T.E.A.M

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls we have made it through the first week of S.T.E.A.M ! Imagine, not having an available gymnasium, getting to know new staff, and children from 6th grade to 8th grade, and making a lesson plan that you have to abandon, what would you do?

All you can do is F.I.O (Figure It Out)! If you did not know, the gymnasium at the Linden S.D.A is being renovated, so we made each square foot of the Linden S.D.A property worth our WILD! Whoo-hoo!

We had so much fun working on new skills such as;

Leadership: Who follows directions and is willing to set the example for their fellow classmates who are not strong in that area.

Team work: Allowing boys and girls to interact with each other outside of their comfort zones.

Communication: Expressing their thoughts and allowing others to do the same.

Discipline: Habits become part of your CHARACTER! The purpose of discipline, is to change bad habits and turn them into lifestyle benefits that really matter.

These children are wonderful individuals with a variety of personalities. Coach Rohan’s mission is to mold them into entrepreneurs that can face a world that is constantly changing, which ties into our theme of “Economic Development”. There are more weeks of S.T.E.A.M ahead, so stay tuned!
