The kids at Trey Whitfield are really cheffing it up this year!
Now only only are these amazing young scholars enjoying the culinary arts, but they are enjoying an interactive learning experience where they learn how to make delicious and nutritious food! In this week’s lesson, they made and amazing fresh mixed berry sauce on graham crackers with a lavender hibiscus tea.
The point of this week’s lesson was to teach the students about anti-oxidants in berries and learning how to use herbs to make a tea that helps with blood pressure and anxiety.
Overall it was a great a class! The students are excited to learn and cook more delicious nutritious snacks, dinners, and cuisine throughout the year!
